Let me introduce myself. I'm Art Gilbreth, a
broker at Sunriver Realty, where I have worked for the last 31 years,
helping buyers and sellers in our own little corner of Paradise.
I am a native Oregonian, having been born in
The Dalles. I lived in San Diego for a bit, but you can't take the Oregon
out of the man, so I moved to Eugene in the Willamette Valley and worked
as an office manager for
Lorenz realty.
But
there was this thing called rain, and I began to mind it. Longing for
more sunshine, I remembered what was then the small town of Bend, where
I'd been briefly in 1961, working on the natural gas pipeline. I came for
another look, found the community of Sunriver, applied for the position
of real estate agent in Sunriver Realty, and history was made. I've been
with the firm since 1976.
I have two sons, one daughter, and seven
grandkids. My wife Susan lived here in Sunriver before I did, and we both
stay very active in the community.
Much to the local children's delight, I've
been playing Santa Claus for the past 17 years for my clients and
friends. I love to watch the children's' faces and reactions on Christmas
Eve as Santa appears out of the snow and onto the back deck with his
bag full of toys.
I enjoy everything about Central Oregon:
golf, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, biking, tennis, photography and riding
my Harley with friends. Most of all I appreciate the friendships I've
made while working in Sunriver and Bend.
